- The Mortar Team replaced the Rocket Launcher in the Game Update of Jan 16, 2013.
- The Mortar Team Schematic was added to the Workshop in the Game Update: July 26, 2013.
- The Mortar Team received the ability to be upgraded to Veteran Level 5 in Game Update: April 2nd, 2014.
- A Level 10 Mortar Team can out range Level 2 Machine Gun Turret & Level 1 Laser Turret.
- A Level 10 Mortar Team inside a Bunker o a Stronghold can out range a Level 10 Razorback and Level 4 Hellfire. Inside a Watchtower level 10 Mortar will out range a Level 10 Hellfire by 5.
- The Mortar Team Unit is the only Infantry Unit composed of two soldiers: The Radio Member (He guides the shot) and the Artillery Unit (Soldier who uses the weapon).
- A new Player receives 4 Mortar Teams as Spoils of War - Day 4.
- Upon completion of the Mission : Unlock Mortar Team the Player receives 4,000 Metal / 4,000 Oil.
- Mortar Teams equipped with Incendiary Mortar 5 excel at killing Rifleman.
- After you unlocked the Mortar Team, you will received the message from R.U.B.I. that said: MAKE IT RAIN! - Commander, we have lift off -- Mortar Teams are ready for production.
- This unit can be found on kitchen sink,ace of spades,mob mentality and watch dog special ops.
